For our patients who have dental insurance, we are delighted to help maximize your benefits. After you have paid for your care, we will gladly complete your claim forms and provide any additional information needed to have your claim processed expediently. Your insurance company will send your benefit check directly to you, usually within 2-3 weeks.
Your dental plan is designed to share in your dental care costs. It will not cover the total cost of your treatment. Generally, a dental benefit plan is a contract between your employer and the insurance company. These contracts vary widely, even with the same employer or insurance company, and the language used is difficult to understand.
Due to constantly changing benefits and regulations, we cannot accurately predict what your insurance company will pay. Since there are no regulations that direct how insurance companies determine reimbursement levels – nor are they required to disclose that information – benefit amounts can fluctuate.
Your dental plan may not cover certain procedures or even preventative treatments that can save you money later. This does not mean these treatments are unnecessary. Furthermore, your dental plan may only allow benefits for the least expensive treatment for a condition. For example, Dr. Parker may recommend porcelain onlays or crowns to provide the healthiest restoration for your teeth, but your insurance may only offer reimbursement for a large, mercury amalgam filling. As with other choices in life – such as purchasing medical or automobile insurance, or buying a home – the least expensive alternative is not always the best option.
At the Dental Design Studio, Dr. Parker will only provide the best care. We will do whatever we can to help you get the most from your dental plan. If you have questions regarding your dental plan or a problem with a reimbursement level, please contact your employer or insurance company.
