Whitening
ZOOM! Ignite the White!
Tooth whitening is the most often requested and the most well-established procedure in cosmetic dentistry.
For many years, Dr. Parker didn't recommend the in-office whitening systems because the technology wasn't yet proven to be entirely safe for the teeth and gums. However, tooth whitening systems have improved dramatically over the past few years and we are proud to offer the safest, most effective and convenient in-office tooth whitening system available--ZOOM!
To insure good health and decrease sensitivity that can be caused by the procedure, we request that anyone interested in whitening be on a prescription grade, potassium fluoride toothpaste for 7-10 days. The brief, direct fluoride treatment done immediately before the procedure provides further protection from sensitivity.
The in-office system consists of three 20-minute sessions, all done at one visit. The entire time in the chair is about two hours. At that time, we also take impressions which we later fabricate into a custom bleaching tray for you to use at home to maintain the shade we are able to achieve in the office.
